About
A mostly defensive strategy that sits in cash-like funds, bets on volatility after stock-market overheating, and makes short-term rebound trades after sharp selloffs.
This strategy mostly waits in very safe holdings like Treasury bills or short-term bonds.
If major U.S. stock indexes—especially tech-heavy ones—have surged too far too fast, it puts a small slice into funds that usually rise when market fear jumps.
If stocks have fallen hard, it may buy aggressive rebound funds tied to tech or the S&P 500. If nothing looks extreme, it stays parked in cash-like assets.
Out-of-sample: about 36.3% annualized vs 17.5% for SPY, Calmar ~1.55 and Sharpe ~1.05. Max drawdown ~23.5% vs SPY ~18.8%. Mostly cash-like, with extreme-conditions volatility bets—higher upside with disciplined risk.
