About
A fast-moving market-timing strategy that watches tech and growth stocks, shifts into a volatility hedge when markets look overheated, makes selective rebound bets after sharp selloffs, and otherwise stays in cash-like T-bills.
This strategy checks whether big U.S. growth and tech stocks have moved too far, too fast over the last 10 days.
If they look overheated, it moves into VIXM, a fund that usually benefits when market fear rises.
If stocks look sharply beaten down, it may make a short-term rebound bet using aggressive stock funds, or hide in short-term bonds.
If neither extreme is present, it sits in BIL, a cash-like Treasury bill fund.
Out-of-sample, this tactical tech-growth strategy targets ~40.75% annualized return with Calmar ~1.73, vs SPY ~20.53% and lower drawdown. It hedges risk in overheated markets to capture upside vs the S&P 500.
