A weekly strategy that picks either big U.S. growth stocks or big U.S. value stocks based on which style performed better over the last 6 months.
NutHow it works
Every week, the strategy asks one simple question: over the last 6 months, has the U.S. stock market’s “growth” style done better than its “value” style? It uses VUG as the scorecard for growth and VTV as the scorecard for value. If growth has been stronger, it buys a basket of big growth stocks like Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, Alphabet, Tesla, and Nvidia. If value has been stronger, it switches into a basket of steadier companies like Berkshire, JPMorgan, Johnson & Johnson, Procter & Gamble, Exxon, and Verizon. Inside the chosen basket, it spreads money evenly across the listed stocks. One note: Alphabet (Google) appears twice in the growth list, so this strategy accidentally gives it extra weight.
