About
Daily contrarian switch: if key US stock gauges look overheated, go all‑in to a VIX‑linked hedge (VIXM). Otherwise hold GE, LLY, NVDA with a small inverse QQQ hedge (QID), sized by recent volatility.
Each day it checks a 10‑day heat gauge (RSI) on SPY (S&P 500), QQQ (Nasdaq 100), XLK (Tech), IYY (US market), VTV (Value), and VOX (Comm). If any look “too hot” (RSI ≈80+), it moves 100% into VIXM, a VIX‑linked fund that tends to jump when stocks fall. Otherwise it holds GE (aerospace), LLY (pharma), NVDA (chips) and a small inverse QQQ hedge (QID), sized by recent volatility.
Out-of-sample edge: ~31% annualized return vs ~21% for the S&P, far lower drawdowns (~11.5% vs ~18.8%), higher risk-adjusted Sharpe (~1.73 vs ~1.21), and lower beta (~0.37). Greater upside with less market risk.
