About
A rule-based strategy that shifts daily between plain S&P 500, defensive income, aggressive stock exposure, or a fear trade based on how unusually strong or weak the market has been lately.
This strategy checks how “hot” or “cold” the market has been recently using RSI, a score from 0 to 100 based on recent price moves.
If the market looks extremely overheated, it moves into UVXY, a fund tied to market fear.
If tech looks extremely beaten down, it buys TECL, a very aggressive tech fund.
Otherwise, it switches among VOO, QYLD, and SSO based on how strong the S&P 500 has been.
Out-of-sample edge: ~42% annualized return vs SPY ~16%; Sharpe ~1.04 vs ~0.95; Calmar ~1.56; max drawdown ~27% vs ~19%. RSI-driven, daily-rebalanced strategy that shifts among VOO/QYLD/SSO/TECL/UVXY to ride trends and hedge fear.
