About

Own gold (GLD) in long uptrends. When gold is weak, buy GLD only on extreme short‑term washouts; short gold via GLL on extreme spikes. If there’s no clear short‑term edge, sit in a calmer, risk‑weighted mix of US stocks (SPY) and Treasuries (IEF, TLT).
NutHow it works
Each day it looks at GLD (a gold ETF). If GLD is above its 200‑day average (a long‑term trend line), it holds GLD. If not, it checks GLD’s 2‑day RSI (a 0–100 gauge of recent speed). If RSI is extremely low, it buys GLD for a bounce. If RSI is extremely high, it buys GLL (−2x inverse gold) to bet on a pullback. Otherwise it holds SPY (US stocks), plus IEF/TLT (Treasuries) sized by inverse volatility.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~45.6% annualized return, ~10.1% max drawdown, Calmar ~4.50, Sharpe ~2.04, beta ~0.03. vs SPY ~15.3% return and ~18.8% drawdown—stronger, lower beta, risk-adjusted gains.
