About
Own DBMF (a managed‑futures ETF) when its trend is healthy and not extremely overbought; otherwise park in T‑bills or, in downtrends, switch to a lower‑vol mix of stocks, Treasuries, and gold. Signals update daily using a 2‑day RSI and a 50‑day average.
DBMF is a managed‑futures ETF that follows trends across commodities, currencies, interest rates, and stock indexes.
Daily, it checks two things on DBMF: trend (price vs 50‑day average) and a 2‑day RSI (a 0–100 “speedometer” of recent moves: <20=oversold, >97.5=overbought).
If trend up: hold DBMF, except park in BIL (T‑bills) when RSI>97.5.
If trend down: buy DBMF only when RSI<20; otherwise own an inverse‑vol mix of SPY, IEF/TLT, and GLD.
Out-of-sample edge: higher risk-adjusted returns vs the S&P (Sharpe ~1.32 vs ~0.97), dramatically smaller drawdowns (~7.65% vs ~18.76%), and low beta (~0.21). A trend-following core plus defensive ballast for steadier gains.
