About

Rides sector and bond trends most of the time; when short‑term RSI shows markets are overheated, it quickly rotates into a volatility hedge (VIXY) plus low‑risk funds. Deep trend filters switch between SPY and a cash/staples/gold defense to cut drawdowns.
NutHow it works
RSI is a 0–100 “heat” score. When it says big indexes/sectors are very hot, this flips to defense: mainly a fear/volatility fund that tends to rise when stocks drop (VIXY), plus low‑vol stocks (SPLV) and a market‑neutral anti‑beta fund (BTAL). Otherwise it runs 60% in sector funds with momentum (tech XLK, energy XLE, utilities XLU, financials XLF) and 40% in long Treasuries (TLT). Trend checks fall back to an S&P 500 fund (SPY) or to cash/staples/gold (BIL, XLP, GLD).
CheckmarkValue prop
Defensive, growth-friendly: OOS drawdown 13.1% vs SPY 18.8%; OOS return 14.3% vs 19.6%. Calmar ~1.10, Sharpe ~0.84 vs SPY 1.10—better risk control with upside participation and hedging.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
