About

A risk-on/risk-off switch powered by bond signals: if short-term junk bonds show stronger recent momentum than rising-rate stress (SHYG RSI > TTT RSI), hold SPY; otherwise hide in SHY. Uses a 30-day RSI comparison; ties favor safety.
NutHow it works
It’s a simple on/off switch for stocks. It compares 30‑day RSI (a 0–100 score of recent price strength) of two bond‑market funds: TTT (moves up when long‑term Treasury prices fall) and SHYG (short‑term high‑yield bonds). If SHYG’s RSI > TTT’s, it buys SPY (U.S. stocks). Otherwise it holds SHY (1–3yr Treasuries). Ties go to SHY.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: higher risk-adjusted returns and smaller drawdowns than the S&P 500. Sharpe 1.98 vs 1.34; 24.1% vs 21.8%; max drawdown 12.8% vs 18.8% with a regime-aware signal.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
