About

A daily RSI-based tilt between TECL (levered tech) and SHV (short-term bonds) using RSI of TQQQ. Low RSI bets big on TECL; higher RSI shifts toward SHV in fixed steps to reduce risk.
NutHow it works
What the strategy does in plain terms: - It measures a short-term momentum signal (RSI over 10 days) on a highly leveraged tech ETF (TQQQ). - It uses that signal to decide how to split a small two-asset portfolio between TECL (riskier tech exposure) and SHV (safer, cash-like bond exposure). - If the signal is very negative (RSI under 15), it puts everything into TECL (hoping for a rebound on a very oversold condition). - As the signal moves up (RSI rising toward 31), the split gradually shifts toward SHV, reducing exposure to the leveraged tech bet. - The daily rebalancing ensures the portfolio stays aligned with the latest signal. - The calculator-style ladder is built into the rules: each RSI band has a fixed TECL/SHV weight, e.g., around 93/7, 86/14, 79/21, and so on, down to a near 0/100 tilt as RSI approaches the upper bands. - The intent is to balance the potential for upside in tech with protection from drawdowns by holding more cash-like assets as momentum signals worsen.
CheckmarkValue prop
RSI-driven TECL/SHV tilt delivers risk-controlled upside vs SPY: oos return ~22.52%, max drawdown 7.25% vs 18.76%, Calmar ~3.11. Daily rebalancing captures tech upside while limiting downside.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
