About

A metals portfolio that shifts with stock market momentum: when stocks look strong, add silver, palladium, copper and rare‑earth exposure; when weak, stick to gold, silver and platinum; in between, lean heavily on gold. Rebalanced daily.
NutHow it works
Uses the 14‑day RSI of VTI (a total U.S. stock fund) to read market mood. RSI is a 0–100 score of recent price strength. If RSI>47 (risk‑on): GLD 20, SLV 30, PALL 20, SCCO 5, REMX 15, PPLT 10. If RSI<46 (risk‑off): hold GLD/SLV/PPLT equally. Else: go neutral—mostly GLD, small SLV/PPLT/PALL/REMX, no SCCO. Rebalanced daily. Tickers: GLD=gold, SLV=silver, PPLT=platinum, PALL=palladium, SCCO=copper miner, REMX=rare‑earth miners, VTI=U.S. stocks.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample Sharpe ~6 vs S&P ~1 and a Calmar ~88; a gold-heavy core with tactical industrial metal bets aims for superior risk-adjusted returns and meaningful diversification versus the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
