A daily market-timing strategy that swings between bullish leveraged tech, bearish Nasdaq funds, and a volatility spike fund based on whether markets look overheated, oversold, healthy, or defensive.

This strategy checks the market every day and makes an all-in bet based on recent market behavior. If U.S. stocks look too overheated, it buys VIXY, a fund that tends to rise when fear jumps. If tech stocks look badly beaten down, it buys TECL, a 3x bullish tech fund. Otherwise, it compares 5 market-health signals—mostly using bonds, internet stocks, utilities, and bearish stock funds—to decide between: TQQQ (3x bullish Nasdaq), PSQ (1x bearish Nasdaq), or QID (2x bearish Nasdaq). It then favors the recent signal models that have been performing best.

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
