About

A daily, multi-layered, rule-based system that rotates among leveraged growth ETFs and hedges/defense assets, guided by RSI, momentum, volatility, and drawdown signals to chase gains while curbing risk through dynamic risk-off allocations.
NutHow it works
What you do: Each day, the system looks at many signals (momentum, trend, volatility, and strength) across a wide set of ETFs. It groups assets into regimes such as risk-on (growth-focused), risk-off (protective), and defense (stability). For each regime, it ranks assets using metrics like RSI (price strength), moving-average performance, and drawdowns, then selects one or a small number of assets to hold. It often uses equal cash-weighted allocations within a regime, or picks a single asset (top or bottom by the metric) to tilt toward. Depending on the signals, it may tilt into leveraged growth ETFs (like SOXL or TQQQ) when conditions are favorable, or move into hedges (like UVXY, TMV, or BIL) and gold/treasury exposures when conditions look risky. The intent is to chase upside in favorable markets while deploying protective bets to limit losses during turmoil, with changes inferred from daily scans rather than a static, buy-and-hold approach.
CheckmarkValue prop
Dynamic daily rotation between leveraged growth and hedges chases upside while controlling risk. Out-of-sample: Sharpe ~1.16 vs SPY 0.96; annualized return ~77% vs ~17%; Calmar ~2.79—strong, risk-adjusted growth vs the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
