About

Daily, rules-based switcher. In uptrends it rides leveraged tech, cooling to SPY or volatility (UVXY) if overheated. In downtrends it flips to short tech or Treasuries, with occasional bounce attempts. Very aggressive risk.
NutHow it works
Very aggressive, daily rules. Each day it checks if the U.S. market (SPY) is above its 200‑day average (uptrend) or not (downtrend). It then picks one ETF: - Uptrend: usually rides TQQQ (triple tech). If the move looks “too hot” (a short‑term 0–100 heat score called RSI is very high), it briefly parks in UVXY; if only somewhat hot, it uses SPY. - Downtrend: it may try bounce plays (TECL/UPRO) when very washed‑out (low RSI), otherwise it holds SQQQ (short tech) or TLT (Treasuries)—whichever looks stronger.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy offers higher upside and risk-adjusted strength versus the S&P: ~67% annualized return vs ~18%, Sharpe ~1.10 vs ~1.01, Calmar ~1.34. Note: larger drawdowns possible in downturns, but potential outsized gains.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
