Each day, the strategy first checks whether the overall U.S. stock market looks unusually “hot.” It uses SPY for that. It also compares bonds (IEF/TMF) with small-company stocks (IWM) to judge whether investors are feeling defensive or aggressive. Based on those signals, it buys 2 very aggressive funds tied to either rising markets or falling markets, choosing either the strongest or weakest recent performers depending on the setup.
