About
Aggressive, rule-based rotator that rides tech-led rallies and quickly hedges or steps aside during selloffs using VIX funds, cash-like T‑Bills, or bond/dollar plays. High risk: heavy use of leveraged and volatility ETFs.
It’s a rulebook that watches short-term “speedometers” (RSI), trends, and drawdowns for stocks, bonds, and volatility.
- If markets look hot (RSI high), it often buys a volatility spike hedge (UVXY), which jumps when stocks fall.
- After sharp drops (RSI low), it “buys the dip” in tech/semis using 3x funds like TECL/TQQQ/SOXL if trends confirm; otherwise it sits in T‑Bills (BIL/SHV).
- It flips bond stance with rates (TMF when rates fall, TMV/USDU when they rise) and adds commodities (DBC/PDBC) when they trend. Multiple staggered blocks smooth timing.
Dynamic, rule-based strategy captures tech upside with volatility hedging and cross-asset diversification. OOS annualized return ~23.1% with beta ~0.84, offering diversification vs SPY. Trade-offs: higher drawdowns and ~0.88 Calmar.
