A rules-based, daily strategy that rides emerging‑market uptrends with a 3x fund (EDC) and flips to the 3x inverse (EDZ) or to one bond/defensive ETF when conditions weaken, using a trend filter and a short‑term “hot/cold” score (RSI).

Daily it checks if emerging markets (EEM) are in a long-term uptrend. If strong, it buys a 3x EM fund (EDC), sometimes paired 50/50 with one defensive pick. If weak or overheated, it switches to the 3x inverse (EDZ) or a single defensive pick. The defensive pick is whichever of bonds or defensive sectors (e.g., BSV, TLT, LQD, VBF, XLP, UGE) looks most “oversold” by a short-term hot/cold score (RSI). It also compares bonds vs stocks to fine-tune risk.
