A fast-moving strategy that aggressively bets on emerging markets going up or down, then mixes in bonds or defensive sectors when conditions look less favorable.

This strategy mostly tries to time emerging-markets stocks using very aggressive funds. When emerging markets look unusually beaten down, it buys a 3x bullish fund (EDC). When they look overheated, it buys a 3x bearish fund (EDZ). Otherwise it checks whether markets look healthy or defensive, then holds either bullish emerging markets, bearish emerging markets, or a mix with a “safer” holding like bonds, consumer staples, or utilities.
