About

A daily, rules‑based EM strategy that flips between 3× bull (EDC) on washed‑out dips and 3× bear (EDZ) when overheated. It may also add the single most‑oversold leveraged sector or long‑bond pick. Bond‑vs‑stock signals steer it risk‑on or risk‑off.
NutHow it works
- Watches emerging‑markets (EEM). Above its 200‑day average = uptrend; below = downtrend. - Uses a short‑term “heat meter” (RSI, 0–100: low=washed‑out, high=overheated). Washed‑out EEM → buy 3× EM bull (EDC). Overheated EEM → buy 3× EM bear (EDZ). - When mixed, it also buys 1–2 “most oversold” picks from: leveraged sectors (ROM tech, CURE health, DRN real estate), long Treasuries (TMF), bond funds (VBF/EVN/BKT/PMM), or XLF. - Extra bond‑vs‑stock checks (IGIB vs DBE; IEF/IEI vs SPY/DIA/IWM; XLP/XLU; DLN; BBH) nudge it toward EDC (risk‑on) or EDZ (risk‑off). - Note: uses leveraged ETFs; expect big swings.
CheckmarkValue prop
Big upside, disciplined risk controls: out-of-sample annualized return ~88% vs S&P ~6%, Sharpe ~2.29 vs ~0.58, Calmar ~6.14. Expect higher short-term drawdowns, but leverages EM trends and oversold bets for superior risk-adjusted gains.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
