About

Buys high‑quality stocks on short‑term dips or when the trend plus a bond tailwind are in place, parks in T‑Bills when signals are weak, and adds a volatility hedge when the market looks overheated. Heavy tilt to big tech and quality growth.
NutHow it works
RSI = a 0–100 “heat” gauge of recent price moves (<30 oversold, ~50 neutral, >80 overheated). SPXL (3x S&P) is the market heat check; UVXY is a fear/volatility fund; BND = bonds; IEF/TLT = Treasuries; BIL = T‑Bills (cash‑like). • If SPXL looks overheated, hedge in UVXY. • Else, scan quality stocks: buy on dips (10‑day RSI<30), or if trend is up (60‑day>50) and bonds just “popped” vs the stock (RSI20 BND>stock). If not, hold BIL. • Prefer the 10 names with the best recent downside profile; equal‑weight; rebalance on ~10% drift.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: 21.5% annualized return vs 19% for the S&P, with lower risk—max drawdown 12.1% vs 18.8%, beta ~0.65, Sharpe ~1.16 vs 1.09, Calmar ~1.78. Higher risk-adjusted upside and stronger downside protection.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
