About

A daily, tactical mix of gold, long/short Treasuries, Nasdaq stocks, and hedges. It follows trend and overbought/oversold signals to flip between leveraged bulls, bears, or cash-like bonds. High-octane; aims to ride trends and fade extremes (since 2012 tests).
NutHow it works
Daily, it splits money across four sleeves and shifts using two ideas: trend (price vs its recent average) and stretch (RSI: a 0–100 heat meter; high=overheated, low=washed‑out). - Gold: UGL (2x long) or GLL (−2x short). - Bonds: TMF/TMV (3x long/short 20+yr Treasuries) or BIL (T‑bills). - Nasdaq: QQQ/TQQQ/UPRO/QLD in uptrends; else XLP (consumer staples) or bonds (BOND/VBF). - Hedge: UVXY (VIX), PSQ (short Nasdaq), UUP (US dollar) when risk rises. Uses leveraged ETFs; expect big swings.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: Sharpe 3.26 vs 2.37; annualized return 44.6% vs 28.0%; Calmar ~8 with max drawdown ~5.6%. A four-sleeve, dynamically rebalanced mix (gold, bonds, Nasdaq, hedges) aims for higher upside with disciplined risk.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
