This strategy splits money across 4 mini-strategies: gold, long-term bonds, a market-stress hedge, and a tech-stock sleeve. Each part checks whether prices are rising or falling and whether moves look too extreme. If a market looks strong, it often bets with the trend. If a move looks overheated, it may bet on a pullback or move to a safer holding like short-term bonds, regular bonds, consumer staples, or the U.S. dollar.

Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
