If overheated or choppy, it mixes in hedges (Treasuries, gold, dollar, market‑neutral). If not in an uptrend, it shifts to a defensive, rules‑based mix or even mostly T‑bills plus a short‑term “winner.” RSI = a 0–100 heat gauge; volatility = recent choppiness. Rebalances daily.
