About

A daily switcher between QQQ (Nasdaq‑100) and PSQ (its −1× inverse). Uses SPY’s 200‑day trend plus short‑term “heat/cold” (RSI) from leveraged ETFs to ride uptrends, short downtrends, and flip for brief pullbacks or bounces. Tech‑heavy exposure.
NutHow it works
Each day the strategy holds exactly one ETF: QQQ or PSQ. - SPY above its 200‑day average (uptrend): hold QQQ unless 3× ETFs (TQQQ or SPXL) look very “hot” by RSI (a 0–100 heat gauge); then briefly hold PSQ (−1× QQQ). - SPY below 200‑day (downtrend): prefer PSQ while TQQQ is weak (below its 20‑day average), but flip to QQQ on very “cold” RSI readings (oversold bounces).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: 27.7% annualized return vs 19.8% for the S&P; Sharpe ~1.27 vs ~1.18; Calmar ~1.83; max drawdown ~15% vs ~19%. A regime-based QQQ/PSQ strategy delivering tech upside with downside protection.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
