About

Daily, rules‑based switch between QQQ and PSQ using overbought/oversold, trend and cross‑asset risk signals (stocks, bonds, volatility). Goal: ride tech uptrends, go inverse when risk rises. No leverage.
NutHow it works
It only holds one of two funds: QQQ (Nasdaq‑100 big tech) or PSQ (moves opposite QQQ). It checks daily “heat” and trend readings—RSI (0–100; >70 overheated, <30 washed‑out), moving‑average trends—and stress signals from the S&P 500, bonds, the dollar, and volatility (UVXY). Leveraged ETFs (TQQQ, SOXL) are used as thermometers. In uptrends it holds QQQ; when risk rises or markets look stretched, it flips to PSQ. Frequent switches can cause costs/whipsaws.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this QQQ/PSQ strategy beats the S&P: ~31.5% vs ~23% annualized return, drawdown 14.8% vs 18.8%, Sharpe 1.44 vs 1.37, Calmar ~2.13, beta ~0.73. No leverage; it rides tech uptrends and shifts to risk-off.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
