About

A no-leverage, daily-rotating strategy with QQQ as the core, using PSQ and a set of hedges/defensive ETFs to protect in risky times; it rebalances daily based on simple ranking signals and RSI-style checks.
NutHow it works
In plain English, the strategy mostly bets on Nasdaq stocks via QQQ, but it watches the market for signs it’s getting too stretched or unstable. If conditions look healthy, it puts almost all your money into QQQ. If signals say the market is overheated or risky, it shifts to hedges (like PSQ, SPXU) or safer assets (cash-like funds, short/long-term bonds, or volatility plays). Every day it reevaluates and reweights to keep a 100% total allocation across the chosen assets. When there are strong long-term uptrends, QQQ leads; in downturns or inflation/rate-stress regimes the model moves toward hedges and defense. It uses simple ranking rules (e.g., which asset recently performed best or worst by specific metrics) to decide which instrument to buy, and then allocates the money accordingly. The approach is designed to capture upside in tech-friendly markets while limiting downside in risk-off environments by layering hedge instruments and defensive assets on top of the core position.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy trades Nasdaq with hedges for better risk-adjusted gains: ~32% annualized vs ~23% S&P, drawdown ~15% vs ~19%, Sharpe ~1.46 vs ~1.37, Calmar ~2.16, beta ~0.73.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
