About

Rules-driven QQQ strategy that shifts among tech, Treasuries, gold, cash, and leveraged/short ETFs using long‑term trend and short‑term hot/cold readings. Includes a 30% crash/sideways sleeve to hedge hard or press rebounds, especially in semis.
NutHow it works
First check if the S&P 500 is in an uptrend (price above its 200‑day average). In uptrends it holds QQQ (big Nasdaq tech) unless a short‑term “heat” gauge (RSI: high = hot, low = cold) runs too hot, then it parks in Treasuries (TLT/IEF/BSV/SHV) or gold (GLD). In downtrends it mainly hides in bonds or shorts QQQ (PSQ/QID), with occasional “cold” bounce buys using 2× QQQ (QLD). A 30% sleeve adds extra hedges or semis (SMH/USD) in deep/choppy markets.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: 33% annualized return vs 18% for the S&P, with higher risk-adjusted return (oos Sharpe ~1.15) and Calmar ~1.42. Uses dynamic hedges and regime shifts to pursue bigger upside while managing risk.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
