About

Own QQQ when it’s trending up; move to near‑cash (BIL) when it isn’t. Uses a short 18‑day moving‑average signal on QQQ and updates daily to manage risk and capture uptrends.
NutHow it works
Each day it checks QQQ’s price against its 18‑day “smoothed recent average” (an exponential moving average). If price is above that average, it owns QQQ (big tech–heavy Nasdaq‑100). If price is below, it moves to BIL (very short‑term U.S. Treasury bills). Rebalances daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Disciplined, rules-based rotation between QQQ and cash (BIL) with daily risk controls. While the latest out-of-sample window shows negative risk-adjusted performance, the strategy offers diversification and a transparent, risk-managed sleeve to complement the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
