About
A rules-based strategy that mainly bets on big U.S. tech through QQQ, steps into cash when markets look overheated, and turns defensive with bonds or an inverse Nasdaq fund when conditions weaken.
This strategy mostly tries to own QQQ, which tracks big tech-heavy stocks like Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, and Google.
If the overall U.S. stock market looks healthy, it holds QQQ unless prices have risen too fast recently; then it waits in BIL, a cash-like Treasury fund.
If the market looks weak, it first looks for a sharp selloff to buy a rebound. If no rebound setup appears, it shifts to defense by choosing either TLT (long U.S. bonds) or PSQ, a fund that goes up when QQQ falls.
Out-of-sample, this rule-based strategy targets Nasdaq-100 upside with defense. It delivers ~37% annualized return vs ~27% for the S&P, and a Calmar ~3.37—strong risk-adjusted gains, with protection through cash, bonds, or PSQ in weak markets.
