About

Rides big tech (QQQ) in uptrends, hedges to VIXY + T‑Bills when markets get overheated, and in downtrends rotates among short QQQ (PSQ), long Treasuries (TLT), or quick rebound plays in SPY/XLK based on short‑term signals. Rebalances daily.
NutHow it works
Daily rules. Step 1: Is the S&P 500 above its 200‑day average (a long‑term trend line)? If yes, hold QQQ (big tech). If a 10‑day “hot/cold” meter (RSI: 0–100; >80 very hot) says QQQ>79 or SPY>80, switch to 50% VIXY (volatility spike hedge) + 50% BIL (T‑Bills). If not above the 200‑day (downtrend): if very “cold” (RSI <~30), buy XLK (tech) or SPY for rebounds; otherwise pick the stronger of PSQ (short QQQ) or TLT (long Treasuries). Rebalances daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this QQQ-focused strategy delivers ~47.6% annualized return and a Calmar ~6.0, outperforming the S&P 500’s ~38.5% with strong risk-adjusted upside. Hedging with VIXY/BIL targets spikes, even with larger drawdowns.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
