About
A rules-based strategy that mostly owns big tech through QQQ, but turns defensive—or even bets on market fear or falling tech—when conditions look overheated or weak.
This strategy mainly wants to own QQQ, which tracks big U.S. growth/tech companies.
It first asks: is the overall U.S. stock market healthy? If yes, it usually buys QQQ. But if the market has risen too fast, it switches to UVXY, a very aggressive fund that tends to jump when fear spikes.
If the market is weaker, it becomes defensive: it may buy QQQ or SPY after sharp drops, bet against tech with PSQ, or hide in bonds or consumer-staples stocks.
Out-of-sample edge: ~32.5% annualized return vs ~19.8% S&P, higher Sharpe (1.44 vs 1.28), Calmar ~1.79, and slightly smaller drawdown (18.23% vs 18.76%). Tech tilt with hedges aims for bigger upside, controlled risk.
