About

Daily tactical tech strategy: follow the Nasdaq trend; own tech (VGT) in uptrends unless things look too hot (then VIXY/UVXY). In weak markets, toggle between tech bounces, a mild Nasdaq short (PSQ), or gold (GLD) using short‑term “heat” signals.
NutHow it works
Core signals: 200‑day moving average (long‑term trend) and RSI (0–100 heat meter; >80 very hot, <30 very cold). If the tech‑heavy Nasdaq‑100 trend is up (TQQQ above its 200‑day avg) and not overheated, hold tech (VGT). If overheated (TQQQ>80 or UPRO>79), rotate into fear funds VIXY/UVXY (often jump when volatility spikes). If no uptrend: if very cold (TQQQ RSI<30) buy tech (XLK) for a bounce; otherwise use a mild Nasdaq short (PSQ) or hide in gold (GLD), guided by short‑term momentum. Rebalances daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: tech-driven rotation with disciplined risk management aims for ~56% annualized return vs ~29% for the S&P, higher Sharpe (1.91 vs 1.41), and smaller drawdown (10.7% vs 13.7%).

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
