About

Tech‑tilted, rules‑based strategy. In uptrends it owns tech unless prices look overheated, then it hedges with volatility funds. In downtrends it chooses among short Nasdaq, tech on bounces, or gold. Decisions use simple trend and “hot/cold” gauges.
NutHow it works
Uses TQQQ’s 200‑day EMA (an average of past prices; a long‑term trend gauge) as a risk switch. Above it: hold tech (VGT). If short‑term heat is extreme (RSI, a 0–100 “hot/cold” score, > ~80 on TQQQ/UPRO), briefly own volatility funds (VIXY, UVXY). Below it: rotate among tech (XLK) on washouts/rebounds, short Nasdaq (PSQ) when downside momentum leads, or gold (GLD) when neither. TQQQ/UPRO are signals only. Rebalances daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this tech-tilt strategy beats the S&P on risk-adjusted return and downside control: Sharpe ~1.91 vs 1.41, Calmar ~5.21, annualized return ~55.7% vs 29.3%, max drawdown ~10.7% vs 13.7%, with lower beta and volatility.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
