About

A daily, rules-based plan that turns risk-on when QQQ’s short-term trend is rising: 70% goes to the top two recent winners among big tech/US stock funds, 30% to T‑Bills, gold, and SPY. When the trend weakens, it shifts to an equal mix of T‑Bills, gold, and SPY.
NutHow it works
Each day it asks: is QQQ (a tech‑heavy index fund) in a short‑term uptrend? It checks if QQQ’s 8‑day average price is above its 13‑day average. If yes: put 70% into the two best performers over ~3 months from SPY, QQQ, MSFT, AAPL, AMZN, META, AVGO (Broadcom), ANET (Arista), NFLX; and 30% equally in BIL (T‑Bills), GLD (gold), SPY. If not: hold BIL, GLD, SPY equally.
CheckmarkValue prop
Strong out-of-sample edge: annualized OOS return ≈61% vs S&P ≈34%, Calmar ≈8.6 indicating superior risk-adjusted upside. Defensive 30% sleeve (T-bills/gold/SPY) plus momentum-driven mega-cap picks aim for big upside with controlled risk.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
