About

A daily, rules‑based QQQ strategy: buy QLD on sharp dips, hold QQQ in uptrends, and rotate to volatility funds (UVXY/VIXY) or a defensive fund (BTAL) when QQQ runs hot or the market weakens. Big‑tech core, tactical hedges.
NutHow it works
Daily check (RSI = short‑term heat gauge). - If QQQ is very hot (10‑day RSI>79): move to volatility. If VIXY is calm (RSI<40) buy UVXY; else split VIXY and BTAL. - Else if QQQ is washed out (RSI<30): buy QLD for a rebound. - Else use SPY trend: if above its 200d or 30d average hold QQQ; otherwise hold BTAL. QQQ=Nasdaq‑100 big tech; SPY=S&P 500; QLD=2x QQQ; VIXY/UVXY=volatility (UVXY=2x); BTAL=defensive long low‑risk/short high‑risk.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample annualized return ~34.8% vs SPY ~25.6%, with a Calmar ~4.40—strong risk-adjusted upside. Leveraged tech core plus tactical hedges aim to beat the S&P, though max drawdown can be larger (7.9% vs 5.1%).

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
