About

Rules-based switch among QLD (2× Nasdaq‑100), TLT (long Treasuries), and QID (−2× Nasdaq). Uses SPY’s 200‑day trend, RSI “heat/cold,” and QLD’s 20‑day trend to ride tech uptrends, cool off in bonds, or go inverse in weak markets.
NutHow it works
Each day: 1) If SPY is above its 200‑day average, hold QLD (2× Nasdaq‑100) unless QLD’s RSI (a price “speedometer”) is very hot (>77); then hold TLT (long US Treasuries). 2) If SPY is below, hold QLD only if very cold (RSI<32) or above its 20‑day average; else hold the stronger of TLT or QID (−2× Nasdaq).
CheckmarkValue prop
Leverages 2x Nasdaq in uptrends with RSI/MA risk controls; shifts to Treasuries or inverse Nasdaq in downturns. Out-of-sample: ~38% annualized vs ~18% SPY; Calmar ~1.06. Higher upside, similar risk-adjusted return, but larger bear drawdowns.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
