About
A daily switch among QLD (2x Nasdaq‑100), TLT (long Treasuries), and QID (−2x Nasdaq‑100) using SPY’s 200‑day trend plus QLD’s short‑term “heat” (RSI) and 20‑day trend—aiming to ride tech uptrends, cool off in bonds, or short tech in downtrends.
Daily, it holds one fund: QLD (2x Nasdaq‑100, tech‑heavy), TLT (long‑term US Treasuries), or QID (−2x Nasdaq‑100). If SPY is above its 200‑day average, hold QLD unless QLD’s RSI>77 (RSI = 0–100 “heat” score); then hold TLT. If SPY is below, hold QLD if RSI<32 or if price > 20‑day average; otherwise choose QID or TLT by the higher 12‑day RSI. Note: QLD/QID are leveraged and volatile.
Out-of-sample edge: ~44% annualized return vs ~20% for the S&P, with Calmar ~1.07 and Sharpe ~1.09. A regime-switching mix of QLD, TLT, and QID seeks big upside while managing risk—though drawdowns can be ~41%.
