About

A 100% equities portfolio with a tech-heavy core (Tesla, Nvidia, AMD, Micron, SoFi, and quantum names IonQ, D-Wave, QuantumScape) plus a dynamic 10% sleeve that shifts between QQQ (if tech momentum is positive) or BIL (if momentum is weak). Rebalances daily to target weights.
NutHow it works
- The portfolio has nine positions: TSLA 15%, NVDA 15%, IONQ 10%, QBTS 10%, SOFI 10%, AMD 10%, MU 10%, QTUM 10%, and a 10% dynamic sleeve. - The dynamic sleeve chooses between QQQ (10%) or BIL (10%) based on a 90-day moving-average return rule for QQQ. If the 90-day return > 2%, allocate to QQQ; else allocate to BIL. - Rebalance happens daily, meaning holdings are adjusted so each position’s weight matches its target weight again. - Rationale: core growth tilt toward technology and quantum-oriented stocks with a conditional hedge to reduce risk when tech momentum is weak, using QQQ for potential tech breadth or BIL as a cash-like safety cushion. - Risks: Concentration in tech and speculative quantum names can be highly volatile; the 10% hedge cannot fully offset losses in a broad tech drawdown. The strategy relies on the 90-day momentum signal being informative for near-term direction.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
