About

A daily-rebalanced, rules-based mix of a cash-like safety sleeve (ultra-short bonds and T-bills) with a highly adaptive, leveraged-equity/volatility engine that rotates among a broad ETF universe to chase returns while aiming to limit drawdowns.
NutHow it works
Two parts drive the strategy: - Cash sleeve (safety base): about 84% of capital sits in ultra-short/short-term bonds and T-bills (GSY, PULS, BIL) to reduce risk and keep liquidity. - Equities/volatility engine: the remaining portion is allocated across a wide set of stock-related ETFs, including broad market, sectors, and leveraged plays. A large web of rules checks recent performance and price signals (think “is this asset recently stronger than others?”, “has this asset shown a favorable trend recently?”) and then adjusts weights daily. If conditions favor risk-taking, more capital flows into leveraged/upper-beta ETFs; if conditions deteriorate or volatility spikes, the system shifts toward hedges or cash. There are special blocks that focus on volatility (UVXY), hedging (TLT, SHV, GLD), and aggressive tech/biotech plays (SOXL, TECL, LABU, QLD-related rotations). The whole system is designed to tilt toward whichever baskets show strength now, while keeping a floor in safer assets. Rebalancing happens every day, so weights can change quite a bit from one day to the next. Important: because it uses leverage and many moving parts, it can be very volatile and is not suitable for all investors. Tickers are ETF symbols; examples include GSY, PULS, BIL (cash-like baseline), UVXY (volatility-based), SPY/QQQ (broad market), GLD (gold), SHV (short Treasuries), TL T (long Treasuries), and various leveraged ETFs like SOXL, TECL, LABU, TQQQ, SPXL, etc.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: Sharpe 3.50 vs SPY 2.32; max drawdown 0.74% vs 5.07%; Calmar 7.56. A cash sleeve plus an adaptive leveraged equity/volatility engine targets steadier, risk-adjusted gains while limiting downside vs SPY.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
