About

Mostly cash-like ETFs with a tactical overlay. When stocks look stretched, it buys volatility hedges; when they’re washed out, it tries quick rebound trades. Frequent checks pull it back to T‑bills. Uses small doses of leveraged/short ETFs.
NutHow it works
About 80% sits in very short‑term bond/T‑bill ETFs (GSY, PULS, BIL/SHV) for safety/yield. Each day it checks a “heat gauge” (RSI) on major indexes. If they’re very hot, it buys small doses of “fear gauge” funds (UVXY/VXX/VIXY) or mild shorts (PSQ/SH) as airbags, then exits back to cash. If prices get very cold fast, it briefly buys oversold, high‑octane tech ETFs (TQQQ/SOXL/TECL) for rebounds. It can flip to Treasuries (TLT/TMF) or their inverse (TMV) as trends shift.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: a defensive, tactical strategy that outperforms on risk, not just raw returns. OOS Sharpe 3.50 vs SPY 2.32, Calmar 7.56, and drawdowns ~0.74% vs SPY ~5.07%, with near-market beta. Capital preservation with upside participation.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
