A very aggressive market-timing strategy that flips between bullish and bearish leveraged funds based on whether stocks look stronger than safe Treasuries, then makes short-term bets on rebounds or reversals.

This strategy first asks: are U.S. stocks acting stronger than safe Treasury cash? If yes, it uses an aggressive stock-trading playbook; if not, it switches to a different aggressive contrarian playbook. Both playbooks trade fast-moving leveraged funds, sometimes betting up and sometimes down, based on very recent market strength, weakness, and reversals.

Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
