About

A fast, rule‑based offense/defense system. In uptrends it rides high‑momentum tech and small‑cap funds (often 3×). When markets look overheated or weak, it flips to cash/bonds, inverse ETFs, or volatility hedges. Very high risk.
NutHow it works
Checks if the S&P 500 is in an uptrend (above its long‑term average). If yes, it goes on offense: buys fast‑moving growth funds, mainly tech/semis (often 3× like TQQQ/TECL/SOXL). If things look “too hot” (RSI = a simple too‑hot/too‑cold gauge), it briefly buys volatility (UVXY/VIXY) as a hedge. If the trend is weak or fear high, it moves to cash‑like BIL, bonds, BTAL, or inverse funds (SQQQ/TECS). It also runs small snap‑back trades after big 5‑day moves and uses SMH vs KMLM (a trend‑following managed‑futures fund) to pick risk‑on/off.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy targets ~24.5% annualized returns vs the S&P’s ~17.6%, powered by agile momentum in tech and small caps, plus disciplined hedges (cash/bonds/short-vol) when risk rises. Higher upside with proactive risk control.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
