About

A rule‑based “risk‑on/risk‑off” system. It gates risk with the bond market trend (BND vs cash), hedges with volatility funds when stocks look overheated, and otherwise rotates between leveraged stock funds and safe havens, keeping only what’s worked best recently.
NutHow it works
1) Circuit breaker: if a short‑vol fund (SVXY) plunges over a few days, go to T‑bills (BIL). 2) If stocks look overheated on a short‑term “hot/cold” score (RSI), buy volatility hedges (VIXY/UVXY). 3) Else, check bonds: if the broad bond market (BND) beats cash (BIL), favor aggressive stock funds (e.g., TQQQ/UPRO). If not, shift to Treasuries, gold, USD, or market‑neutral (BTAL). 4) Credit (HYG), the 200‑day trend, and recent drawdowns fine‑tune choices. 5) From many sub‑models, it keeps the few that have worked best over ~200 trading days.
CheckmarkValue prop
Outperforms the S&P on risk-adjusted upside: OOS return 30.6% vs 15.1%, Sharpe 0.93 vs 0.84, Calmar 0.96. A risk-managed, rule-based system that gates with bonds and hedges volatility for steadier gains.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
