About

Rules-based swing system: hedge with VIX when markets are hot, buy deep dips in leveraged tech/semis, and use KMLM (managed futures) plus T‑bills as risk controls. Very active and high risk; timing is critical.
NutHow it works
It’s a tactical switcher. First, a danger check: if a short‑vol fund (SVXY) just plunged, it parks in T‑bills (BIL). If stocks look overheated—RSI (a 0–100 “heat meter” of recent gains) is very high on SPY/tech—it jumps into VIX funds (VIXY/UVXY/VIXM) to profit from a pullback. If they’re washed out (RSI very low), it buys the dip in 3x tech/semis (TECL/SOXL/SPXL). KMLM, a managed‑futures ETF (trends in commodities/rates/currencies), is a trend filter and fallback.
CheckmarkValue prop
Although OOS results are negative, this tactical, regime-switching strategy may diversify portfolio risk and offer tail-risk protection via volatility timing, managed futures, and trend filters—potentially complementing the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
