About

A daily, rules-based rotation: lean into leveraged tech in calm, rising markets; pivot to hedges (dollar, Treasuries, defensive sectors, commodities, inverse funds) when stress picks up. Aims to capture upside while cutting big drawdowns.
NutHow it works
Daily it first checks if core bonds (BND) rose lately. If yes (risk‑on), it splits into two: when stock swings are small it “buys the dip” in leveraged tech (TECL/TQQQ); if swings grow, it parks in short‑term (SHY) or 7–10yr bonds (IEF). If bonds are weak (risk‑off), it rotates to hedges—U.S. dollar/yen, commodities, defensive sectors, Treasuries (long or inverse), and inverse equity funds—using simple trends and an overbought/oversold score (RSI: low=recently fell).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample stats beat the S&P on risk-adjusted upside: Calmar ~1.35, Sharpe ~1.33, annualized return ~56.5% vs 21%. A rules-based, daily-rotating tech tilt with hedges aims for much higher upside while actively managing risk.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
