About

A fast-moving strategy that chases leveraged tech when conditions look calm, but shifts into defensive, rate-sensitive, or bearish funds when bonds and the broader market look weak.
NutHow it works
This strategy checks the market every day and first asks: “Are bonds acting healthy?” If yes, it takes aggressive positions mainly in leveraged tech funds, usually buying whichever looks most recently beaten down. If not, it switches to defense and then asks whether interest rates seem to be rising or falling. In rising-rate periods, it rotates among defensive or hedging funds such as the U.S. dollar, yen, commodities, and funds that profit when stocks or bonds fall. In falling-rate periods, it spreads money across safer areas like Treasury bonds, utilities, consumer staples, and other defensive funds, while favoring assets that have recently pulled back and avoiding those with the ugliest recent drops.
CheckmarkValue prop
Adaptive, regime-driven strategy seeks leveraged tech gains in calm markets and defensive bets when rates move. Out-of-sample annualized return ~35.5% vs SPY ~19.9%; higher upside, but potential for larger drawdowns (~42%).

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
