About

A daily, rules‑based plan that rides rallies in leveraged stock funds when bonds are healthy, but shifts to hedges (bonds, gold, dollar, commodities, or even short funds) when bonds weaken and/or rates rise—seeking big upside with smaller drawdowns.
NutHow it works
1) Big switch: If US bonds (BND) were up over ~11 weeks ⇒ Risk ON; else ⇒ Risk OFF. 2) Risk ON: If vol is calm, buy the 4 most “oversold” picks from a basket of high‑octane stock funds plus a few shock absorbers (bonds/commodities/anti‑beta). If vol spikes, briefly flip between long/short long‑term Treasuries or buy the 2 most oversold from a broader list. (RSI = short‑term hot/cold; low = oversold.) 3) Risk OFF: If rates are rising, favor dollar/commodities/short funds; if falling, favor bonds/gold/defensive factor. Rebalance daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample annualized return ~33% with Sharpe ~0.91 and Calmar ~0.54—strong upside potential vs SPY, thanks to dynamic hedging and leveraged equity exposure. Be aware of potential ~61% drawdowns in stressed regimes.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
