About

Rules-based, K‑1‑free strategy that turns risk on when bonds are firm and scales exposure with volatility. In calm times it favors 3x S&P/Nasdaq; in stress it shifts to USD, long/short Treasuries, market‑neutral, staples, and selective inverse ETFs to cut drawdowns.
NutHow it works
Daily check: Are bonds (BND) up over ~2 months? If yes (Risk On), rotate among 3x S&P (UPRO), 3x Nasdaq (TQQQ), or short‑term Treasuries (SHY). The calmer stocks are, the more it favors UPRO/TQQQ; if jumpy, it sits in SHY. It picks what’s been most “sold off” lately to catch rebounds. If bonds are weak (Risk Off), it checks rates: rising → use dollar/hedges and sometimes inverse funds; falling → hold long Treasuries (TMF) plus defensives (BTAL, XLP).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample: ~39.9% annualized return vs S&P ~21.1%; Sharpe ~1.15; Calmar ~0.90; max drawdown ~44.6% vs ~18.8% for S&P. Regime-switching leverages upside in calm markets (3x SPY/QQQ) and hedges in stress; no K-1s.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
