About

Switches between offense and defense using bond trends. In offense, buys the 4 most “oversold” picks from a small list (mainly 2x Nasdaq/S&P/Tech plus commodities/bonds). In defense, holds the US dollar or gold + defensive stocks. Very high risk.
NutHow it works
1) Check bonds: if BND (US bond market ETF) is up over ~8 weeks → Risk ON. Pick the 4 funds with the lowest 21‑day RSI (RSI = short‑term momentum; low = oversold) from: QLD 2x Nasdaq, SSO 2x S&P 500, ROM 2x Tech, USD 2x Semis (ETF ticker, not the dollar), UYG 2x Financials, DBC commodities, BND bonds; equal weight. 2) Else → Risk OFF: if TLT is falling over ~1 month → hold UUP (long US dollar); otherwise hold GLD (gold) and UGE (2x consumer goods) 50/50.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample return ~33.7% vs SPY ~23%; 2x leveraged bets plus risk-on/off rotation. Expect larger drawdowns (~44% vs ~19%) and slightly lower risk-adjusted Sharpe—best for growth-focused investors with high risk tolerance.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
