About

A complex market-timing strategy that leans heavily into tech when conditions look favorable, and shifts to bonds, gold, cash, short funds, or volatility hedges when markets look overheated or risky.
NutHow it works
This strategy is a big collection of smaller trading systems. Most of them watch the US stock market—especially tech-heavy funds like QQQ—and ask: is the market strong, weak, overheated, or panicking? If conditions look good, it buys growth and tech, sometimes using aggressive leveraged funds. If conditions look dangerous, it shifts into protection such as Treasury bonds, gold, cash-like funds, defensive sectors, inverse funds that rise when stocks fall, or volatility funds that can jump during market fear.
CheckmarkValue prop
Risk-managed growth with lower market sensitivity: ~20% annualized return, beta ~0.85, and hedges (bonds, gold, volatility). Out-of-sample Calmar ~2.05 signals strong risk-adjusted performance across regimes and downside protection.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
