A daily rules-based strategy that shifts between aggressive U.S. stock funds, Treasury bonds, and cash-like Treasury funds based on market calm, stress, and sharp short-term selloffs.
NutHow it works
This strategy is a market “traffic light.” Each day, it checks whether the U.S. stock market looks calm or shaky using several short-term tests. If conditions look good, it buys stock funds—mainly a boosted S&P 500 fund and a technology fund, sometimes with Treasury bonds for balance. If markets look stressed, it either buys a sharp dip in stocks or moves to very safe short-term Treasury funds.

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
